LG Prada II has a matching Bluetooth Watch

November 19th, 2008 by Mark R in Cool Clocks, Coolest Mobile News, Mobile Phones

Well, since Prada has essentially conquered the world of fashion, I suppose it is just natural that they take on the world of cellular phones. The Prada has a full 3-inch touchscreen, with a slider QWERTY keyboard as well.

Other features include dual-band HSDPA, quad-band GSM, plus a full HTML browser. The user also has the option of listening to FM radio, and watching television with the TV out option. There is also a document viewer for whatever you want to read.

In other words, your phone has entertainment as well as being a phone. As far as memory is concerned, there is 60MB of internal memory, and the phone has a microSD slot.

All this, plus it comes with a matching watch. Did I mention it is Bluetooth? Not only will you be able to view incoming calls and texts on the watch, but it is stainless steel and genuine leather. You can also view the world time, but you have an alarm with stop and snooze.

DXG-579V available in Holiday pack from Kohl’s

November 19th, 2008 by Mark R in Digital Cameras, Photography

I have covered the affordable video camcorders from DXG before, such as the DXG-567V and DXG-569V. Now, there is the DXG-579V, an upright digital camcorder with 720p video capture and shoot still pictures up to 8 megapixels.

The DXG-579V is a vertical form factor with a 2.4 inch rotation screen. It records H.264 video, or MOV file format, at up to 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second. The user has the option of using High Capacity SD cards.

I regularly use the DXG-569V, and I find it simple to use and easy to upload videos to YouTube. The DXG-579V looks to be a step up from the 569V, and it looks like it has some sort of weird gauge where the SD card is inserted.

Car Seat made out of Carbon Fiber

November 19th, 2008 by Ally in Automotive Gadgets

Car seats for your kids are never an exciting thing to purchase.  They rarely feature designs different from every other car seat developed in the past twenty years.  Yes, they might have more safety features, but usually you’re going to get stuck with some pastel car seat probably featuring Winnie the Pooh or some Disney princess.  Which seems a bit unfair once you think about it.  After all, your kid doesn’t really care what their car seat looks like till their later years of sitting in one.  So why not buy a car seat that will look attractive in your car.  Well one designer has decided to create a car seat inspired by racing gear.

SpongeBob Speakers Roll Their Eyes

November 19th, 2008 by Mark R in Audio/Video Gadgets, iPod gadgets

We have covered SpongeBob Squarepants products before on Coolest Gadgets, and I thought my favorite was the rectal thermometer until I saw the SpongeBob Speakers.

These SpongeBob Speakers from Npower is a way to play your music with the one who lives in a pineapple under the sea. The big buggy eyes that you see there are speakers, which can roll along to the music.

And when I say roll along, I don’t mean that the pupils move to the beat of the music. I mean that when you lay them on a flat surface, these globes will move to and fro. I’ve included a YouTube video so you can watch this in action after the jump. As you can see, the SpongeBob Speakers have a Sponge dock on the top in order to hold whatever MP3 player you care to plug into it.

Laptop Cool Table from Arbella

November 19th, 2008 by Edwin in Office Gadgets, PC Gadgets

While laptops are great devices to tote around, sometimes we do wish they can be as comfortable to use as an actual desktop. Desktop replacement models aren’t exactly the most portable devices, which is why the Laptop Cool Table from Arbella works great if you want more comfort when working on your laptop, no matter where you are.

The Laptop Cool table was developed to make the laptop more comfortable to use. The table instantly turns your laptop in to a portable desktop by raising your computer with quick adjusting legs to a comfortable level. Lifting the laptop up relieves your sore wrists and back and also keeps the hot battery from burning your legs. Built in USB fans help cool your laptop and prolong its life. Lightweight and compact design allows it to go from the boardroom to the dorm room and anywhere else you roam.

There is no word on pricing though, so you’ll have to contact them to find out.
