Exercising your brain may be one of the most important lessons that is shared today. True to popular belief there are many ways to improve brain stimulation with these simple exercises:

  • Learn a new word daily. The saying is true,"knowledge is power."
  • If you are left handed switch to the right hand and visa - versa. It helps to exercise the opposite side of the brain.
  • Deep breathing exercises which enable more oxygen to the brain.
  • Practice doing crossword puzzles, riddles and etc.
  • Become aware off all stressors and deal with them. This shall enable one to better concentrate.
  • Try singing about something you are working on. This taps into and exercises the right side of your brain.
  • Train yourself to look automatically for connections between things. This helps to get the creative juices flowing. It also acts as an memory aid because having more connections makes it easier to recall.
  • If you sit for long hours on your job, take a brisk walk on your break to clear your mind and invigorate your body.
  • The best "brain food" is, literally, mental stimulation.
  • Physical exercise aids in higher brain functions.
  • Studies shown that running can boost brain cell survival.
  • Challenge your brain to learn new and novel tasks, especially processes that you've never done before.
  • In the morning, while you're still in bed, slowly begin to move your toes – any way that feels good. Wriggle, scrunch, and stretch. Move all your toes up and down several times, or work just your big toes. Wiggling your toes activates nerves that stimulate your brain and internal organs.
